Why make a drawing framework-Plait
Although there are many excellent flowchart open source projects in the community, such as Excalidraw, TLDraw, etc., they have some overlap with some of Plait’s plugins. When we make some Plait plugins, we will also make technical references from various sources, but Plait is also Special existence, we should encourage the existence of differentiation, and currently I have not seen an integrated drawing framework in the community, nor have I seen a particularly good open source mind mapping project. This is the reason for us to develop Plait. Of course, this is inseparable from the company’s support. I am also particularly grateful to the company and PingCode Wiki products for giving us such an opportunity to do Plait. The support of the company and business has given Plait higher value and longer vitality, and it also has more With high mission, we look forward to the growth of Plait framework and PingCode products together.
In addition, when it comes to Excalidraw and TLDraw, I am also very envious. Seeing their in-depth exploration in this field, creating more possibilities for the community and users, and the recent creativity that they have combined with AI, I yearn for them. I am also imagining that in the future, we can complete the incubation of an open source tool product based on the Plait framework and its plugin capabilities, create our own open source products, build a Chinese open source brand, and then continue to explore breakthroughs and stay at the forefront of technology. , all this may be difficult, it may take countless time and energy, and it may not bring much income, but we still want to go and see.
